There’s a hand towel in my bathroom that frequently develops an orange tinge – and there’s a reason for this. As part of my skincare routine, I apply vitamin C serum to my face every morning with my clean fingertips. And while I wash my hands afterwards, the orange serum tends to transfer onto my hand towel.
By the time the week has gone past, and it’s time to do a weekly wash, the towel is noticeably stained. Wanting to try a new product, I reached for the original Dr Beckmann GLOWHITE Everyday Whitening.
Said to refresh whites, prevent greying, and to be an “effective” stain remover, I gave it a go on my white laundry load.
Adding in some grimy stained white socks in the washing machine drum too, the process couldn’t have been more simple.
All I did was add the white sachet (there’s five in the box) to the washing machine drum loaded with clothes and poured some detergent in the detergent drawer.
Next, I put on a normal cycle wash at 40C that went on for an hour, followed by a spin cycle.
Once the washing cycle was completed, I took out my white laundry to discover if it worked.
Was paying £1.55 at Asda supermarket worthwhile? (Do note that Dr Beckmann GLOWWHITE Everyday Whitening is available elsewhere, such as Wilko for £1.29.)
After seeing the results for myself, with no pre-soaking required, I’d say the product does what it says it will do.
Not only is my hand towel white again, but my socks are noticeably a lot whiter than before.
