Whinging leftie Owen Jones makes grovelling apology after spreading Kate speculation

Political leftie, Owen Jones, has expressed regret for engaging with wild conspiracy theories about Kate, Princess of Wales, after she went public with her cancer battle in an emotional video, released tonight at 6pm on March 22.

Owen Jones has backpedaled on questioning the health and whereabouts of the royal, as she has opened up about her health condition and recent diagnosis.

The commentator confessed he was wrong to speculate and now feels “ashamed”.

Owen wrote on social media platform X: “As someone who speculated on this without considering it could be a serious health condition, I’m very ashamed to be honest, and all the very best to her.”

In a video where Kate is sitting casually dressed on a bench in Windsor, the Princess revealed she had been diagnosed with cancer and was undergoing chemotherapy to fight the disease. The Princess did not elaborate on what kind of cancer she has been battling, or what stage the disease is at but that she is “getting stronger every day.”

Owen’s message comes after weeks of wild online speculation about the Princess after she revealed back in January that she had undergone surgery and was stepping back from royal duties until after Easter.

When a photograph shared by the Princess of her and her three children on Mother’s Day was found to have been edited, Owen took to social media to speculate about the Princess’s location and health.

He reacted to a post on X that revealed photography agencies were pulling the Mother’s Day photo Kate had issued, and he wrote: “Oh wow. Ok I am now fully on board the Kate Middleton truther train.”

The Mirror reports Owen also raised suspicions over a photograph of Kate and William in a car together that was shared the next day, writing: “You have to be kidding me. That is not a public appearance. Choo choo! All aboard the Kate Middleton truther express!”

The Princess, 42, announced today that she is receiving “preventative chemotherapy” after doctors discovered she had a cancerous condition.

The discovery followed her abdominal surgery in January, and the Princess has not officially appeared in public since then.

Her absence from the public eye sent conspiracy-minded corners of the internet into high gear, with all manner of theories attempting to explain what had happened to her in the months following her treatment.

The statement stunned the world, with the BBC sharing that the decision to share her diagnosis was made to protect her children as they go on their Easter holidays.

In the aftermath of her statement, figures such as King Charles, who is also battling cancer, and Rishi Sunak, the Prime Minister, were shared across social media.

On X, formerly Twitter, Buckingham Palace said: “His Majesty is ‘so proud of Catherine for her courage in speaking as she did’.

“Following their time in hospital together, HM has ‘remained in the closest contact with his beloved daughter-in-law throughout the past weeks.’

“Both Their Majesties ‘will continue to offer their love and support to the whole family through this difficult time’.”
