The Vikings and Buccaneers have had a diametrically opposed past two weeks.

On Minnesota’s side, they’ve employed quarterbacks Kyler Murray and Carson Wentz to great effect, winning big in Week 1 over the Packers and then eking out a victory over the Bears last Sunday.

As for Tampa Bay, not much went their way in their first pair of contests. A heartbreaking 33-27 loss at the hands of the “Super Bowl or bust” Bengals and a shocking 23-19 defeat against the lowly Browns have Baker Mayfield and co. scrambling heading into Week 3.

Today, the two clubs will meet at Raymond James Stadium for a showdown that will either further solidify Minnesota’s strong start or resurrect Tampa Bay’s possibly lost season.

“For us, the urgency is every week,” Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles said in a press conference. “We treat every week with the same amount of urgency. The fact that it’s this week, it’s the most important game and then next week will be the most important and we’ll go from there.”

Oddsmakers give Minnesota a 1.5-point edge over Tampa.

Keep an eye on this one- it may be closer than the Vikings and Bucs’ records suggest.
