Where to spot Red Arrows this weekend – list of towns and villages | UK | News

Red Arrows fans might get a glimpse of the iconic jets as the aerobatics display team is set to appear at major events this weekend. They will appear at The International Ayrshow – Festival Of Flight on Saturday (September 6) and the Great North Run the following day.

On Saturday, the Red Arrows are due to depart Prestwick at about 4.14pm, according to military-airshows.co.uk. The remaining timings for tomorrow and Sunday are as follows below.

Saturday:

4.16pm Vicinity of Kilmarnock

4.18pm North East of Muirkirk

4.20pm North West of Kirkconnel

4.23pm North West of Drongan

4.24pm Ayr display

4.48pm Oversea

4.54pm Prestwick

The Red Arrows will then transit to Newcastle, leaving Prestwick at about 7pm after which they will pass near Kilmarnock at 7.02pm and Muirkirk at 7.04pm, before flying over the Scottish Borders, reaching Holywell Rig at 7.12pm, according to military-airshows.co.uk.

On Sunday, the Red Arrows will fly over Newcastle for the Great North Run. The timings are as follows:

11.10am Newcastle

11.12am South of Molesden

11.13am Hartington Hall

11.16am West of Linhope

11.17am North of Powburn

11.19am Longhorsley

11.20am South of Harelaw

11.21am Hartington Hall

11.23am West of Linhope

11.24am North West of Ingram

11.27am South East of Netherwitton

11.28am West of Saltwick

11.29am South of Dinnington]

11.30am Great North Run

11.31am Vicinity of Springwell

11.32am Medomsley

11.33am Shotleyfield

11.34am North East of Broomhaugh

11.36am Newcastle

The Red Arrows are then due to reappear over Newcastle for the Great North Run before heading back to their base at RAF Waddington at 1.34pm.

The timings, all of which could change due to the weather or other things, are then as follows:

1.36pm North East of Whalton

1.37pm North West of Bavington

1.40pm South East of Strothers Dale

1.41pm South West of Lanchester

1.44pm South of Follingsby

1.45pm Great North Run display

2.10pm Oversea

2.16pm Vicinity of Marske by the Sea

2.32pm RAF Waddington
