Wheeler Dealers stars Mike Brewer and Edd China parted ways after years co-hosting the iconic TV series, but what is known about their split and where did Edd go?

Mike and Edd were the faces of Wheeler Dealers for 13 seasons before the duo split from the classic car restoration series back in 2017.

Mike and Edd made the decision to call it quits as on-air partners shortly after Edd had an apparent disagreement with show producers.

According to Edd, he became frustrated with show bosses after a decision was made to cut down on certain parts of the episode.

Angry at executives’ decisions to take out some of the “detailed and in-depth coverage” of his repairs in the workshop, Edd left on creative differences.

Previously speaking on his YouTube channel shortly after walking away from the show, Edd explained he didn’t wish to “cut corners” in his work.

He said: “The workshop jobs are certainly the hardest part of the show to make, and reducing their substance and role in the show will save the production considerable time, effort and therefore money.

“However this new direction is not something I am comfortable with as I feel the corners I was being asked to cut would compromise the quality of my work and would erode my integrity, as well as that of the show.”

The duo suggested there had been no disagreement or feud with Edd simply leaving to pursue his own projects.

However, Edd suggested that Mike was “not his favourite person” at the moment and admitted they had also “disagreed” over the show’s future.

Mike has continued to suggest there was no big argument with Edd but has admitted crying when he left the show.

Both have apparently not seen each other in years with their last meeting understood to have been in a Paris hotel seven years ago.

In a subtle dig, Milke even suggested he had been “used” by his former co-host while speaking to The Road to Success podcast.

He explained: “He has no desire to call me. I said right at the very beginning of this I’ve been used through my life by people for what I can achieve and I realised if there is any controversy, yeah I felt used.

“I was a tool at that period of time to create a career and that’s fine.”

Edd currently presents his own YouTube, channel where he does in-depth repair work in his garage as well as restorations.

Ant Anstead came in as Mike’s Wheeler Dealers co-host but has since passed the reins over to former F1 mechanic Marc Priestley.
