Wheeler Dealers co-host praises iconic British supercar – ‘an absolute weapon’

Wheeler Dealers co-host Marc Priestley has praised an iconic British supercar after getting behind the wheel.

Marc described the new McLaren 675LT as an “absolute weapon” minutes after pulling back into the pitlane.

He took the gorgeous supercar for a spin as Wheeler Dealers continued filming for their upcoming Global Tour series in Miami.

Beaming from ear to ear, Marc looked delighted as he sat inside the cockpit after borrowing motor mechanic Tavarish’s stunning machine.

Speaking on X, formerly Twitter, Marc said: “This is a weapon. Absolute weapon. It’s got so much power, so much torque and the track is not long enough.

“You run out of track long before you run out of the capabilities of this car. That is a very special feeling to have.

“This goes down as a terrible day at work. Tough gig.” When asked how fast he was travelling, Marc replied: “Well for insurance purposes, 99.8mph.”

McLaren claims their 675LT is the “lightest and most driver-focused” machine the brand has ever built.

If performance is what you’re after, the 675Lt comes with bags of it making it an experience to remember.

The model is fitted with an M838TL V8 twin-turbocharged engine which can produce a whopping 666bhp.

McLaren’s 675LT can also reach staggering top speeds of up to 205 mph making this ideal for thrill seekers.

Racing performance is at the car’s heart and soul with the 675LT inspired by the 1997 Mclaren F1 GTR Longtail model.

This was the car which evolved from the original F1 GTR which won the famous Le Mans 24 Hours race 27 years ago.

The machine is fitted with a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox while the carbon fibre bodywork increases downforce by an astonishing 40 percent

Marc has a long association with McLaren where he worked as a leading F1 mechanic before making the transition to television.

He posted an image of the striking supercar on his social media page before jumping inside.

Marc added: “Unbelievable day driving @theRealTavarish’s @McLarenAuto 675LT around @TheConcoursClub in Miami. Feeling very lucky.”
