A man in a wheelchair was set ablaze in an Oklahoma City crosswalk after a crazed stranger hurled a Molotov cocktail at him in a caught-on-camera attack, police said.
Bystanders and first responders rushed to pull the victim from the flames, likely saving his life, following the unhinged attack near the Oklahoma City Police Department headquarters last Thursday.
Surveillance footage shows the man wheeling across the roadway when the suspect suddenly turns around, ignites the incediary device and tosses it at the victim.
The suspect then shoves the wheelchair as nearby detective and witness run to help to the victim, the video shows.
The man in the wheelchair is expected to make a full recovery, cops said.
The suspect, Alexander Emery, was apprehended by officers stationed nearby moments after the assault, KOCO News reported.
Police say Emery admitted to targeting the victim at random.
Emery was hit with several charges, including arson, assault with intent to kill and assault and battery with a deadly weapon.
