A video of Taylor Swift appearing to tell the ESPN broadcast to stop showing her during “Monday Night Football” has caused a stir online — but that’s not what she said at all.

The superstar singer, who was shown in her suite at Arrowhead Stadium throughout the game, was seen passionately reacting to a 6-yard gain by her husband, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, in the second quarter — and many believed she yelled, “Don’t show me! Get off me!”

According to UK-based certified lip reader Jeremy Freeman, Swift actually said:

“Oh he’s open, oh he’s open, get off of him.”

The last word apeared to be “jeez,” though Freeman could not be certain with the camera pulling away.

The Chiefs were leading the Denver Broncos 14-7 with less than a minute left until halftime.

Swift has been shown on NFL broadcasts at Chiefs games since her first outing at Arrowhead, when she attended a Chiefs-Bears game in September 2023 at the beginning of her relationship with Kelce.

The 14-time Grammy winner skipped the 2026 Emmy Awards in Los Angeles to attend the Chiefs’ home opener, which ended in a dominant 31-10 win over their divisional rival Denver on Monday night.

Swift — who was nominated for five Emmys for her concert special, “Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour | The Final Show” — made a cameo in a pre-recorded “Law & Order: SVU” skit with Mariska Hargitay, host of the 2026 Emmys.

The singer did not take home any awards.

Swift, who was seen talking with actor Tom Cruise in the suite, took in the action with her mom Andrea and dad Scott, as well as her mother-in-law Donna Kelce and brother-in-law Jason Kelce.

It was her first Chiefs game since she tied the knot with Kelce on July 3 at Madison Square Garden.

The star-studded, ultra private event had 1,000 guests, and their nuptials were officiated by actor Adam Sandler, a close friend of the couple.

Their wedding photos, as well as other details, have yet to be released.
