Wetherspoon is giving customers who spend £1.71 on a hot drink in its pubs free unlimited refills throughout the day.
The pub chain says the deal is available across all self-serve hot drinks and customers simply need to buy one drink to begin with and will get subsequent refills free of charge. In most Wetherspoon pubs, you can get a cup of tea, coffee or hot chocolate for as little as £1.71, although prices may differ from location to location. For example, in some high street chains a hot drink will only set you back around £1.04 while you can pay in excess of £3 at Wetherspoon pubs in airports, but the offer on free refills still applies.
Once you’ve made a hot drink purchase you can then enjoy unlimited free refills on any of the following drinks:
- Flat White
- Cappuccino
- Latte
- Mocha
- White Coffee
- Black Coffee
- Espresso
- Tetley Tea
- Hot Chocolate
Decaffinated tea and coffees are also included in the deal and customers can also help themselves to oat milk, Fairtrade sugar and sweetener at the self-service coffee stations.
The offer runs from opening time with breakfast until closing time, seven days a week, and if you can’t stay to enjoy a warming cuppa, then takeaway cups are also available for any hot drink so you can take a refill to go when you leave.
Wetherspoon pubs serve Lavazza 100% Arabica coffee beans from Rainforest Alliance-certified farms, giving its freshly ground coffee a medium body and a delicate taste, with hints of almond and milk chocolate.
Wetherspoon said: “In the early days, Wetherspoon was involved in the development of the Lavazza La Reserva de ¡Tierra! Selection blend, which remains the blend of choice still served today.
“Wetherspoon’s customers have been enjoying the great taste of Lavazza coffee at the company’s pubs since 2005. Established in 1895 in Italy, Lavazza is still a family-owned company, with the fourth generation very much involved in running the business and still devoted to the pursuit of coffee perfection.
“As well as supplying great coffee, Lavazza helps to build schools and communities, as well as planting rainforest trees, through the Lavazza Foundation, supporting coffee-producing communities around the world.”
Wetherspoon adds that the £1.71 price for hot drinks does not apply to its pubs in airports, shopping centres, service stations or the Republic of Ireland, and the offer is subject to local licensing restrictions and availability at participating free houses.
