A luxury Northern California vacation destination is paying part-time interns up to $63,000 to promote DEI initiatives, including a “Language Access Plan.”

The city of Truckee, a wealthy resort town just outside Lake Tahoe, posted the high-paying position “for individuals interested in community engagement, public service, and equity-focused work.”

A job posting for an Inclusion, Diversity, Equity & Accessibility (IDEA) Intern in Truckee, CA.
The job bulletin reads: “The Town of Truckee’s Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility (IDEA) Program is excited to offer a paid internship opportunity for individuals interested in community engagement.”

Applicants should be able to speak Spanish “to support the Town’s commitment to language access and inclusive community engagement,” the posting reads.
