Call of Duty Warzone fans are counting down to the start of Season 4, which is coming to PlayStation, Xbox and PC.
The new Call of Duty Warzone season has a May 29 release date and a 5pm BST UK launch time. The news was announced by Activision on the Call of Duty website: “With Verdansk once again an area of operations for deployment, what other plans might Stitch have in store? For now, Adler needs him to complete the mission at hand.
“To succeed, the two must put their past behind them in pursuit of a new goal. Get in on the action when this stacked offering of free and premium content comes to Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, launching in Season 04 on Thursday, May 29 at 9am PT across all platforms.”
Warzone Season 4 introduces new points of interest to Verdansk, including a towering skyscraper called The Overlook.
The massive skyscraper is twice the size of any other building in Verdansk. It is surrounded by security checkpoints, as well as two huge cranes.
The ground level contains a couple of restaurants, while the interior features a large Atrium, Skydeck, Penthouse and other areas to explore. There are even some ziplines for navigating to and from the structure.
According to Activision, the lobby will occasionally be shuttered during a lockdown, although fans will be able to find other ways to enter.
Season 4 will also contains a selection of new and limited game modes, including Clash Mode, which is described as a massive 52v52 Verdansk Deathmatch.
That’s on top of the Havoc Royale, which is said to contain various “rule-bending modifiers”.
Activision explains more: “Drop into a specially themed area of Verdansk with your Loadout.
“Every new gas circle activates a different modifier. Adapt fast to sudden changes as Havoc modifiers may impact you, the environment, and even the gameplay rules. Survive the Havoc, be the last team standing, and claim victory!”
Unfortunately, however, Havoc Royale won’t be playable until the mid-season update, and will only be available for a limited time.
Needless to say, the new season also launches alongside a brand new Battle Pass, complete with countless rewards.
As you can see from the trailer above, the Blackcell Battle Pass contains things like the Omen BlackCell Operator and Skin, as well as the Hellblock Mastercraft Blueprint for the Ladra SMG, the Guard Dog Companion finishing move and additional bonuses such as level skips and COD Points.
The regular Battle Pass, on the other hand, is headlined by the addition of the new Stitch operator.
“The Season 04 Battle Pass includes over 110 pieces of unlockable content (excluding BlackCell) including two new Base Weapons, the G-Grip Tactical Foregrip Attachment, and several unlockable mil-sim style skins for Bailey, Payne, Grey, Caine, Brutus, Toro, Adler, Nazir, and Marshall.”
