SAN FRANCISCO — There aren’t many prognosticators picking the Golden State Warriors to make the postseason, let alone win a championship in Steph Curry’s 18th season.
Don’t tell Curry that, though.
The sharp-shooting superstar was so flabbergasted at the low expectations for his team entering this season that he walked off the podium in disbelief to end his media day availability.
Earlier in the day, coach Steve Kerr said he welcomed the doubters, so Curry was posed a similar question. How did he feel about “nobody” expecting them to make the playoffs?
Curry interjected: “That’s how bad it is? To make the playoffs?”
He continued, trying to wrap his head around the premise.
“I went from championship to –”
The questioner followed up with what he thinks about the situation.
“That’s what I think about that!” Curry responded, emphatically. “Damn! Damnnnn!”
He got up and walked off without engaging the question further.
“Sorry, that wasn’t to you,” Curry clarified. “That was to the situation.”
