Will Rogers State Beach near Tower 18 is included in the warning.

The mercury is expected to rise to 90 to 100 degrees across LA on Friday, after hitting record temps on Thursday, according to the National Weather Service.

The warnings mean that bacterial levels are elevated in the water at certain beaches, increasing the risk of illness.

Officials say the public should “avoid swimming, surfing, and playing in ocean waters” at the affected beaches.

The entire swim area of Mother’s Beach in Marina Del Ray is also under warning.

The following beaches are under the bacteria warning:

  • Malibu Lagoon at Surfrider Beach; 100 yards up and down the coast from the public restrooms.
  • Leo Carrillo State Beach in Malibu; 100 yards up and down the coast from the public restrooms.
  • Pulga storm drain at Will Rogers State Beach Tower 5; 100 yards up and down the coast from the storm drain.
