Virgin Media customers offered huge streaming discount for a limited time

If you are a Virgin Media TV customer but feel like you might not be getting the very best selection of quality cinema with your subscription, the firm is running an eye-catching promotion that could save you money and give you access to some of the best films around.

Right now, all Virgin TV subscribers can save 70 percent on the price of a six month subscription to popular film streaming service MUBI, slashing the usual £11.99 monthly price down to just £3.60 per month.

That means that over the six month offer period you’ll pay just £21.60 overall for MUBI rather than what would normally cost £71.94.

MUBI is known for its wide range of independent, arthouse and world cinema, with currently available titles including five-time Oscar nominated film The Substance starring Demi Moore, Aftersun with Paul Mescal, The Last Showgirl and Magic Farm. The service rotates a selection of international and English language films alongside bona fide classics to serve up something a little different compared to what you’ll find on Netflix.

If this sounds like your cup of tea then hurry as you don’t have too long to take advantage. The offer began on August 22 and is only available until September 1.,

“We know our customers love great movies and great savings – that’s why it’s brilliant that Virgin TV is the only partner to exclusively offer access to MUBI, for less,” said David Bouchier, Chief TV and Entertainment Officer at Virgin Media O2. “With so many Oscar-nominated movies and beloved classics to choose from, our customers can enjoy hundreds of films whilst also saving over £50 in subscription fees.”

MUBI is not included in any existing Virgin TV packages, but, as is the case with Sky, Apple, Amazon and other competing platforms, Virgin offers MUBI as an add-on subscription service. Whether you sign up with or without the discount, MUBI will bill you directly when you sign up, and the cost will not be rolled into your Virgin Media monthly bill. You can sign up by downloading the MUBI app on your Virgin TV box and subscribing, following prompts for the discount.

£3.60 per month for MUBI is an excellent offer, and one that will no doubt open up access to streaming films that you might not be able to find on Netflix, Disney+ or Prime Video, offering up mainstream hits alongside lesser-known but critically acclaimed works.

If you sign up, bear in mind that the subscription will return to its £11.99 price in the seventh month if you don’t cancel. The good news is you can cancel at any time, even before the discount price period ends.
