The Vikings might be the most fraudulent 4-0 team we’ve seen in the NFL in years.
Minnesota is coming off a no-cover against the league’s worst team in the Miami Dolphins; they now walk into the Superdome as 2.5-point favorites.
It feels like the Vikings’ defense is that good; Brian Flores is able to confuse young quarterbacks regularly.
DVOA has Minnesota rated the No. 2 defense in the NFL so we know their unit is a legitimately strong group.
However, I am still very bullish on Tyler Shough as one of the better quarterbacks in the NFC.
Flores’ defense could confuse him; he’s only in his second year in the NFL, but he’s also 27, so this shouldn’t be a situation where he’s completely lost.
I think the Saints win outright here as home underdogs; I cannot imagine a world where the Vikings are 5-0 entering Week 6 with the No. 31 offensive DVOA.

The Vikings are also averaging a pitiful 4.4 yards per play, the worst figure in the NFL, and that’s before you account for Justin Jefferson being out with an injury.
We’re all in on the New Orleans Saints this weekend in what should be a spirited performance on Sunday.
Betting on the NFL?
You can take a look at my player props article for more information on why I’m also backing Shough to blow past his rushing yards prop over 8.5 this weekend.
PREDICTION: Saints moneyline (+118, BetMGM)
