Vet says there’s certain dog breed that’s ‘most likely to bite’

A vet has revealed the dog breed “most likely to bite” during clinic visits – and people aren’t shocked by his answer. Countless people across the globe own dogs, with these animals frequently ranking as the top choice for pets in numerous nations.

Nevertheless, deciding to get a dog represents a substantial commitment that triggers a significant lifestyle transformation. While dogs contribute numerous benefits to their owners’ lives through their loving and devoted temperaments, they’re a considerable responsibility requiring extensive care.

It’s crucial to consider all aspects before getting a dog, with many people consulting social media for advice and guidance regarding pet ownership. Fortunately, there’s a range of professionals eager to share their specialist knowledge and experiences with online audiences.

Dr Amir Anwary is a well-known veterinarian who has garnered hundreds of thousands of likes on TikTok through his regular video content featuring his expertise and advice.

Alongside educational content, he frequently shares light-hearted clips of himself dancing while recounting entertaining stories from his encounters with animals and their owners.

In a recent video, the vet shared which dog breed he considers most prone to attempting to bite veterinarians.

The footage shows Dr Anwary moving rhythmically to music with overlaid text stating: “Which dog breed will most likely bite the veterinarian”.

The word “chihuahua” then appeared on screen above the vet.

Chihuahuas are a toy breed of dog known for their assertive, lively and devoted natures.

They’re also recognised for being particularly spirited and “high energy”, with PetMD noting “they can be feisty and bark at other people and dogs.”

It explains: “When they feel nervous, they will bark – and sometimes forget how truly tiny they are. It’s vital for Chihuahua parents to monitor their dog closely whenever they’re around other animals and unfamiliar people”.

In the comments section, fellow TikTok users were eager to share their thoughts – with many chihuahua owners agreeing with the vet’s assessment.

One person said: “As a chihuahua parent….. nothing surprising here lol”.

Another added: “It’s always the Chihuahua,” while a third agreed: “Owning a rescue chihuahua with anxiety – I knew the answer before it was up.”

Someone else commented: “Fr [for real] they are very tiny but [have] the anger issues of a villain”.

While another person shared: “My pitbull is terrified of my chihuahua”.

However, someone else said: “I’m looking after my friend’s chihuahua and he’s the sweetest most loving little dog I’ve ever met, he’d never bite anyone”.

And another agreed: “Can we not normalise angry dogs. Yes, there’s a lot of chihuahua who are biters or snappy. But most of them are either mistreated or not socialised properly.”

Remember, dogs are a serious commitment. It’s also worth bearing in mind that training is essential, and not all dogs are suitable for first time owners.

If you’re looking to welcome a dog into your home, consider the benefits of adopting a puppy or dog from a charity or local shelter instead of shopping from a breeder.
