A Venezuelan fugitive in North Carolina was drunkenly firing a gun when his pregnant wife tried to wrestle the weapon away from him — and accidentally shot herself in the stomach, killing her baby, cops said.

Luis Marcano-Marcano, 41, first fired a shot Sunday while drunk and high, authorities said.

His spouse, who was seven months pregnant, pulled the gun from his hand but accidentally shot herself in the stomach, “killing the unborn baby,” according to police reports obtained by WBTV.

Marcano-Marcano allegedly threw the gun into the woods before police apprehended him, the outlet added.

He was arrested in Mint Hill near Charlotte and charged with discharging a firearm within city limits.

He also was placed under an ICE detainer, the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office told The Post.

He had been wanted for outstanding warrants in Venezuela, according to court documents obtained by WBTV. It was unclear what for.

He is currently held with a $1 million bond and poses “a danger to the public,” according to a judge quoted by WBTV.

Killing an unborn fetus can be treated as murder in North Carolina, although Marcano-Marcano has not currently been charged with murder or manslaughter.

Authorities said they were unable to comment Monday regarding the details of the incident or Marcano-Marcano’s immigration status.
