Some WNBA action is coming in hot as we make a dash to the playoffs.

The No. 2-seeded Valkyries face off with one of the bottom-dwelling Connecticut Sun on Wednesday in a game that is meaningless for the tri-state area-based squad.

It sounds like the Sun will be without a few of their top players, as Leïla Lacan is out for the next four games and Brittney Griner appears to be on the wrong side of questionable.

Olivia Nelson-Ododa is their third leading scorer and questionable as well and it’s unclear at the time of writing whether she will play although they will get back forward Aaliyah Edwards.

The Sun obviously find themselves as big underdogs in this matchup, as high as +600 on theScore Bet.

Although this could be a trap game for the Valkyries, considering this is the front end of a pivotal back-to-back where they will face the Liberty on Thursday night.

Golden State comes in as 13.5-point favorites, but they’re in the midst of a five-game road trip and have been managing the minutes of some of their starters.

The Sun are also in the middle of a back-to-back as they play the Chicago Sky on Tuesday.

Connecticut either gets down and blown out by 20+ points or hangs within a possession, while the Valkyries did lose to the 14-win Sky before defeating the No. 1-seeded Lynx.

I think the Valkyries could get caught off-guard here. Take the underdog and the points on Wednesday in a potential trap game for Golden State.

THE PLAY: Connecticut Sun +13.5 (-115, BetMGM) | Live-bet under after the first quarter.
