Utah football’s Jamal Wallace is under investigation for the alleged rape of a woman and for purportedly sharing videos of the act on social media.

Earlier this month, the senior defensive tackle was indefinitely suspended from the program, a school spokesperson told the media Wednesday.

“We were made aware of the situation with Jamal Wallace on Oct. 11 and he was immediately placed on an indefinite suspension from the program,” the university said in a statement. “We take these matters seriously. As this is a pending legal matter we have no further comment at this time.”

Per arrest documents, Wallace has denied the accusations.

On Oct. 9, the woman, who claimed to have been in an on-and-off dating relationship with Wallace, told police the two were discussing their stauts when he grabbed her head and forced her to perform oral sex, according to a probable cause statement.

The woman asked to resume the conversation about “infidelity and their relationship” but Wallace “continued to forcefully hold her head down.”

She began to cry before he forcibly had sex with her while saying “she belonged to him.”

The woman, who tried multiple times to “pull away” said she was hit several times and that Wallace took her phone to take and share videos of the act with five people on Snapchat.

After learning Wallace posted the videos, she said she felt “confused and disgusting.”

Salt Lake police have since found the alleged videos and confirmed the phone was in Wallace’s possession when the videos were taken.

Wallace claimed he accessed the woman’s Snapchat account to see who she was talking to, according to the arrest documents.

He has not been charged during the investigation and was released on $5,000 bail after his arrest.

Wallace, who transferred from Tennessee, was arrested on Oct. 11 by Salt Lake City police and is being investigated for rape and forcible sodomy.

He is facing five misdemeanor counts, and is also being accused by the woman of sharing an intimate picture and video of the incident on Snapchat.

Wallace joined the Utes after two seasons with Tennessee. He only played in one game — their season opener against Idaho — and was a depth piece for the team.

In 2025, he played in six games for Tennessee.
