The US Open continues to provide non-stop drama, and Wednesday’s action was no different. It was a day of mixed emotions for British hopefuls, with Jack Draper withdrawing from the competition shortly before his second round match due to an arm injury.
Emma Raducanu, in contrast, was in flying form. She cruised to a 6-2 6-1 win over Janice Tjen to set up a thrilling third round clash with Elena Rybakina. Elsewhere, Carlos Alcaraz, Cameron Norrie, Novak Djokovic and Alexander Zverev were victorious, as well as Aryna Sabalenka, Coco Gauff and Jasmine Paolini.
