UK homeowners using tumble dryers have been issued an urgent warning as a number of machines have been recalled due to a risk of fire. Tumble dryers from six different brands in the country have been recalled, with Brits urged to “stop using them immediately”.
The list was collated by the experts from Which?, taking into consideration data from various government departments. Experts have urged homeowners to stop using the tumble dryer immediately and contact the manufacturer to arrange a free-of-charge modification. Which? stated: “Owners of appliances which have been modified before 1 August 2025, are warned that a fire risk still exists, and that they should stop using the products immediately.
