A University of Chicago frat bro accused of raping a 19-year-old during a February party reportedly remained an active member of the fraternity — until a newly filed lawsuit exposed his alleged crimes this month.

Kevin Shim, the sophomore Alpha Delta Phi member who allegedly sexually assaulted the unnamed “Jane Doe” at a Feb. 7 frat party, was living it up — getting invited to social events, posing for pictures with his pals and attending math and computer classes for his major — until he was publicly identified in court papers, according to the Chicago Maroon, the university’s independent student-led newspaper.

Earlier this month, he even appeared on an invitation to a social event co-hosted by the frat and UChicago’s Delta Gamma sorority chapter called “Champagne and Shackles” – a function where coeds are handcuffed together until they can finish a bottle of champagne, the outlet reported.

Shim was eventually scrubbed from the invitation — sent out on Oct. 15 — and didn’t attend the event, according to invitations reviewed by the publication and people who were present at the party.

Delta Gamma’s president, Litzy Tafolla, told the outlet that the event was held at some point before the bombshell lawsuit dropped on Oct. 19 — and that “no one in Delta Gamma knew about the assault” until it was made public.

Tafolla reportedly declined to specify the date of the “Champagne and Shackles” event and did not reply to The Post’s requests for comment.

Shim – a South Korea native who attended the Seoul Foreign School before starting at UChicago, where he majored in computational and applied mathematics and physics – was also seen posing alongside his Alpha Delta Phi brothers in photos posted online as recently as the spring, the publication reported.

As of Tuesday, Shim had moved out of his university-owned dorm room and had been suspended from the fraternity, according to the Maroon.

Jane Doe, who is not enrolled at UChicago, claims Shim raped her while she and several friends were at a party at the Alpha Delta Phi house on Feb. 7. ABC 7

But life as he knew it came to a crashing halt with the lawsuit’s filing last week – just days after the elite university was first rocked by sexual assault allegations at another frat house.

Alpha Delta Phi’s national organization, which was named alongside its UChicago chapter in the explosive lawsuit, reportedly did not specify when fraternity leadership first learned about the harrowing allegations against Shim, nor when he was suspended, when asked by the outlet.

Shim — whose name still appeared in the UChicago directory as of Thursday — is not named as a defendant in the filing. He has yet to comment publicly on the accusations.

A lawyer for Shim told The Post Thursday that his reasons for leaving campus this week did not have to do with the allegations.

Jane Doe, who is not a student at UChicago, claims in her lawsuit Shim raped her while she and several friends were at a party at the Alpha Delta Phi house that they had seen promoted on Instagram.

She alleges that Shim gave her a shot that made her feel unsteady and lightheaded before taking her to a secluded bedroom — where he began to make “unwanted and nonconsensual sexual advances” on Doe, who “lost all physical and verbal ability to refuse” his alleged advances, according to the 42-page complaint filed in Cook County Circuit Court.

Although she claimed her ability to speak was impaired, Doe said she pleaded with the frat bro to wear a condom, but he refused — and penetrated her “without her consent,” according to the lawsuit.

After the alleged rape, Doe was left alone and unconscious until one of her friends discovered her – after other frat bros initially blocked her pal from going upstairs to find her, court papers said.

Doe is seeking a trial by jury and more than $200,000 in damages plus legal fees.

The Alpha Delta Phi national organization, its Chicago chapter, the University of Chicago and its police department did not immediately reply to messages from The Post.

The disturbing lawsuit follows another young woman who claimed she was raped at a different frat house near UChicago earlier this month – where a group of men allegedly cheered “when’s my turn” and “let me in,” from outside the bathroom door.
