Donald Trump has erupted has erupted at Europe, claiming “we should spend less time worrying about Putin” in a fiery post on social media.
The outburst is the latest in an exploding row between the US president and Ukraine. On Friday, Mr Trump and vice-president JD Vance got into a heated argument with Ukraine’s president Volodymyr Zelensky.
Writing on his website Truth Social, Mr Trump said: “We should spend less time worrying about Putin, and more time worrying about migrant rape gangs, drug lords, murderers, and people from mental institutions entering our country – so that we don’t end up like Europe!”
The comment comes after Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer held a crisis summit in the UK on Sunday and pledged a further £1.6billion in aid to Ukraine.
