Weather maps have revealed exactly when summer will come to an end for Brits, as the UK is forecasted for low temperatures and rainfall next week. The maps generated by WXCharts, with the use of metdesk data, show that the UK is on track for colder conditions, compared to the scorching hot temperatures that the country has experienced within the last few days.
According to WXCharts by September 3, the UK will see temperatures hit as low as 5C in certain regions before picking up to the low 10s. The Scottish Highlands will see the lowest of the temperatures, with them ranging between 5C and 8C in the early morning. While the south of England, will see higher temperatures maxing at 14.
The Met Office also suggests the “unsettled” conditions that are set to come next week as a result of low pressure systems. As well as the lower temperatures the nation can also expected some rain fall on the day according to both weather forecasters.
WXChart maps show large blue, green, and orange patches covering the UK by midday on September 6. The multi-coloured spots on the map indicate the different amounts of rainfall expected to target areas per hour. The Midlands and northern England, are set to be impacted the most by showers, including Birmingham, Manchester and Newcastle.
According to the Met Office’s Long Range Forecast for Saturday, August 30 to Monday, September 8, the spells of rain will affect the majority of the UK, and could be joined with thunderstorms.
It said: “Changeable and unsettled weather conditions are expected across the UK during this period with low pressure systems tending to dominate the overall pattern.
“This will mean showers or longer spells of rain will affect the majority of the UK at times. Some heavy rain or showers are expected in places, most often in the west, although with a risk some of this could spread to other areas at times.
“Thunderstorms and hail are also possible, as are some spells of strong winds if any deep areas of low pressure form in the vicinity of the UK. Some short-lived spells of drier weather are likely between systems. Temperatures will likely close to average, but may rise above at times in any drier, sunnier spells.”
