Weather maps show chilly conditions will be making their way back to the UK in early March.
Latest maps from WXCHARTS generated on February 20 show snow will head to the UK on Monday March 3, through to Wednesday March 5.
On March 3, maps show that snow will hit Scotland and parts of England including Manchester and large parts of the north.
There will also be patches of snow in north Wales and in the south-west of England.
Temperatures will be chilly and on Tuesday March 4, most of the UK will face between 0C and -7C.
The coast of Devon and Cornwall along with some parts of the Welsh coast will be some of the only places to evade freezing temperatures. Instead, these areas will have temperatures of around 4C.
On Wednesday , March 5, at 6pm, the highest levels of snow will be seen across the UK with snowfall taking place from the Scottish Highlands all the way down to Manchester.
Just below Inverness will see the highest levels of snow depth at around 10cm, the maps suggest.
As for Manchester, there will be around 3cm of snowfall in the area – which is also the case for most other areas affected.
The Met Office has also a forecast for this period. The agency’s long-range forecast lasting between February 25 and March 6 read: “Conditions through this period are somewhat uncertain, and the detail especially so, but it is more likely than not that a mainly westerly regime will dominate the UK’s weather.”
It adds that there will be spells of mild wet and windy weather with colder and showery conditions.
The forecast continues: “There is also a chance that drier, more settled conditions develop at times, especially towards the south or southeast of the UK.
“Temperatures are likely to be close to or a little above average overall, although with a risk of overnight frost in between frontal systems or in association with any drier spells.”
This comes after 2025 has begun with a snowy start – in January, hundreds of schools were forced to close when snowfall caused disruption across the UK.
