If you’re fed up of seeing greenery poking through your expensive driveway paving, this simple tip could help you solve the problem.

Weeding your drive can feel like a never-ending job – before you know it they’ve already grown back and you need to put it on your list of chores again.

From the cracks in the concrete, growing from between the gravel, or popping up in the bare dirt, a weed infestation on your drive can make your home look messy.

According to Ideal Home, using baking soda can help you prevent weeds from growing.

You can purchase the item for as little as 65p from Tesco, or you might even already have it in your cupboard.

Weeds will struggle to grow if baking soda is used, so if you’ve been wondering whether baking soda kills weeds, it will certainly prevent their growth.

If you want to de-weed your driveway or garden and stop them from growing back, sprinkling this item could really help.

A mixture of baking soda and water will not only soften weeds but also kill them from the root.

Block paving can be an expensive home renovation so many Brits are keen to keep their driveways looking fresh, new and clean.

Simply sprinkle baking soda on your block paving, pour some water over the top, and pull them out. Once you’ve done this, you should be weed-free for a little while.

It’s a good idea to use this as a preventative measure every month or so to ensure rogue seeds don’t sprout.

If you want to give your driveway a total make over, you can also jetwash your driveway to ensure a clean and revitalised look.

In combination with weeding, this can make your drive look brand new.

Over winter, you may have found that weeds have not grown as much but with spring on the way, now is the perfect time to give things a quick tidy up before the weather gets warmer and weed growth exacerbates.
