A wild police chase straight out of a Hollywood action flick unfolded on the streets of Los Angeles early Wednesday morning, with a pair of U-Haul thieves making a daring escape from their stolen ride and fleeing into a getaway car as cops closed in.
Aerial footage of the pursuit showed the bold carjackers exiting the U-Haul truck in the parking lot of the original Randy’s Donuts shop in Inglewood, and jumping into a waiting sedan as an officer came within inches of nabbing them, KTLA 5 reported.
The car chase ended when an unsuspecting driver smashed into the getaway car in Hyde Park and forced them to flee on foot.
The suspects still haven’t been caught.
