Two officers and a worker from Pacific Gas and Electric Co. were shot Thursday in a Northern California foothill town outside of Sacramento.

El Dorado County Sheriff’s deputies were responding to a home on Mountain View Drive, in the town of Camino, about 50 miles outside of Placerville, after a PG&E crewmember reported they were shot at, KCRA reported.

Sgt. Jesse Dacanay, spokesperson for the sheriff’s office, said that deputies and SWAT members “attempted to make contact with the suspect who was in a house.”

Authorities told KCRA that after being on the scene for several hours, the deputies were met with gunfire.

The gunman was also shot in the shootout.

It wasn’t immediately clear how many people were part of the PG&E crew and what led to the shooting of the worker.

The two deputies, along with the worker and suspected shooter, were all transported to the hospital.

The deputies were listed as stable. The condition of the gunman was not immediately clear.

The PG&E crewmember was also recovering, according to his union.

“We’re incredibly relieved that our union brother and fellow crewmember is okay after what must have been a terrifying experience. Our thoughts are also with the two El Dorado County Sheriff’s deputies who were injured while responding to the situation,” Bob Dean, business manager for IBEW Local 1245, said in a statement provided to KCRA.

“These workers respond to outages and emergencies at a moment’s notice, often working in dangerous conditions around high voltage electricity, severe weather, and other hazards to keep our communities running. That work already comes with real risks.”

The message continued, “They should never have to worry about violence from the very people they are there to help. Unfortunately, we are seeing incidents like this happen more often, and it’s unacceptable.”

PG&E said the crew was there to replace a pole.

“We are aware of an incident in Camino this morning that left a PG&E contract coworker injured. We are grateful to the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office for their swift response to this incident. Our contract crews were there to replace a pole,” the company said in a statement provided to The Post.
