TSB closing 11 branches in the UK in 2025 – full list | UK | News

TSB Bank has closed a number of its branches across the UK in 2025, reflecting the continued shift away from traditional high street banking. The closures affect towns and cities including Amble, Aylsham, Banff, Bedlington, Bude, Crook, Flint, Frome, Sheerness, Tenbury Wells, Whitchurch, and London’s Peckham, where the Rye Lane branch has also been relocated.

TSB customers affected by the closures are being encouraged to use nearby branches or take advantage of the bank’s digital and telephone banking services. The bank has assured customers that accounts, direct debits, and standing orders remain unaffected, and staff have been offered support during the transition.

The closures are part of a wider trend across the UK’s banking sector. Many high street banks are reducing their physical presence as more customers move to online and mobile banking, a shift accelerated by the pandemic. TSB said the decision was driven by the need to adapt to changing customer behaviour while ensuring that banking services remain accessible and sustainable in the long term.

“We remain committed to face-to-face services through a branch network that covers the whole country, and over 90% of our customers are within a 20 minute drive to their closest branch, or the location of a Money Confidence Expert. To make sure our branch services reflect the current and future needs of our customers, we want to keep open the locations that are used the most. But sometimes this means that we have to close some locations,” TSB states on its website.

TSB is continuing to invest in digital services and is encouraging customers to explore online options, including mobile apps and web banking, as a secure and convenient alternative to visiting a branch.
