President Trump announced Friday that he plans to visit Venezuela following the interim government’s warm welcome for Energy Secretary Chris Wright this week.
“I’m going to make a visit to Venezuela,” Trump told reporters on the White House lawn, saying he hadn’t decided when to make the trip.

Trump has claimed he’s effectively ruling the oil-rich South American country through interim president Delcy Rodriguez after the US military launched a surprise attack on Jan. 3 to capture socialist strongman Nicolas Maduro.
