Every country in Europe is completely different, from the people, the food, to the culture and experiences, which makes it difficult to compare for the average tourist. But not for Drew Binsky, the travel vlogger who has visited every single country in the world and has ranked every single European country based on a set criteria, for his loyal fans and viewers on YouTube.
Drew having visited most of the countries in Europe more than three times, listed the countries starting with his favourite to his least favourite, based on friendliness, affordability, cuisine, night life, historical wonders and “most importantly the ability to not have to go out of your own way to have an authentic cultural experience”.
Suprisingly number one wasn’t Spain, the world’s most visited, or Italy, home to what is often praised as having the world’s best cuisine. Neither is it the UK boasting renowned landmarks and the Royal Family, nor Greece recognised for its rich ancient history. Europe’s best country according to the travel expert is actually the Czech Republic.
Filming the video from the country’s capital, Prague, he says “it’s literally my favourite place on the planet”, while admiring the city’s architecture, medieval churches, and Prague’s Astronomical Clock, attached to the Old Town Hall.
The famous traveller who has visited the country plenty of times and spent a year studying abroad there has said he has completely fallen in love with the Czech Republic.
“The Czech republic is loaded with beautiful parks, cafes, restaurants and bars. Amazing for night life, it’s family friendly, it is extremely safe here – way more than other cities I’ve been to in Europe,” he continues.
While he applauded the country for plenty of other things including the great public transport facilities, there was one thing that Drew shared he isn’t a fan of, despite having so much love for the country.
The one thing that isn’t so great in his opinion is the food, “it’s very heavy – meat, potatoes, and sauerkraut and cabbage,” he revealed.
However, he added: “You don’t come here for the food, you come here for the fun, the beautiful atmosphere, the relaxing vibes of Czech Republic,” and then ending with the fact that he just “freaking loves” the Czech Republic “so much”.
