A mass shooting has taken place in the Canadian city of Toronto, with at least 12 people injured. Four of the victim’s injuries are non-life threatening, but the conditions of the others are unknown. The suspect was “wearing a black balaclava,” according to police. He escaped the scene in a silver vehicle and is still at large.
The shooting took place in Scarborough, a district of Toronto, at around 10.39pm local time. Olivia Chow, mayor of Toronto, said: “I am deeply troubled to hear reports of a shooting at a pub in Scarborough.I have spoken to (Toronto Police Chief Myron) Demkiw and he has assured me all necessary resources have been deployed. This is an early and ongoing investigation – police will provide further details. My thoughts are with the victims and their families.”
