As firefighters and police converged on the scene, social media posts fueled speculation that an explosion had rocked the building.

Authorities ultimately evacuated the building, with TikTok employees seen waiting in nearby courtyards and along surrounding streets as crews investigated the situation.

Despite the alarming reports, no major injuries were reported.

“There was what is believed to be an electrical fire and no signs of foul play,” Jennifer Atenza, Culver City Police Department PIO, told The California Post. “The fire has been extinguished.”

She added that Southern California Edison will assess damages.
