Thursday Murder Club fans can't believe how much The Inbetweeners star has changed

WARNING: This article contains spoilers from The Thursday Murder Club.

The Thursday Murder Club fans were left stunned by the transformation of an ex Inbetweeners actor in his latest Netflix role.

Richard Osman’s The Thursday Murder Club is now available for cinema-goers, while Netflix subscribers will have to wait until Thursday, 28 August, for its debut.

Set in Coopers Chase residential home, four retirees take pleasure in investigating cold cases, but soon find themselves probing into the death of a property developer.

During their sleuthing, they encounter Polish handyman Bogdan Jankowski, who works for the owner of Coopers Chase, Ian Ventham (David Tennant).

Viewers were taken aback when Bogdan appeared in The Thursday Murder Club, as they recognised the 40 year old star.

Bogdan is played by English actor Henry Lloyd-Hughes, who is best known for his role as the aggressive bully Mark Donovan in Channel 4’s popular sitcom The Inbetweeners.

Mark is notorious for his immediate disdain for Will Mackenzie (Simon Bird) as he becomes closer to his on-off girlfriend Charlotte Hinchcliffe.

Donovan was a character in all three series of The Inbetweeners and also featured in the first film, which was released in 2011.

Since his time at Rudge Park Comprehensive, Lloyd-Hughes has starred in a plethora of hit shows and films.

Lloyd-Hughes has an impressive acting portfolio, having played Ralph Whelan in Indian Summers, Allen Scott Frank in Now You See Me 2, Pontmercy in BBC’s Les Miserables and Aaron Peel in Killing Eve.

In addition to these roles, he also portrayed the legendary character of Sherlock Holmes in the supernatural drama The Irregulars.

Most recently, Lloyd-Hughes has appeared in Mammals, Archie, We Were The Lucky Ones and Smilla’s Sense of Snow.

The Thursday Murder Club premieres on Friday, August 22, in cinemas and on Thursday, August 28, on Netflix.
