Three 'surprising' free mobile phone games that are getting people 'hooked'

Gamers are finding themselves utterly engrossed with three free mobile phone games. With long evenings ahead, and little on the agenda, these games offer a delightful mental workout. They’ve quickly become the talk of the town among gaming enthusiasts, earning the title of “favourites” for those seeking a new digital pastime. Katie Louise took to TikTok to spread the word about these gems, which are readily available for both iOS and Android users at absolutely no cost, and they’ve been hailed as “lovely choices” by players who’ve dedicated time to conquering them due to the fact that they’re so “cosy”.

Fairy Village

Dive into a whimsical world where you assist Thumblings in building their idyllic village. Begin from scratch and watch a bustling community of forest-dwelling adventurers, explorers and crafters come to life.

In Fairy Village, your mission is to construct homes and shops, catering to the Thumblings’ needs and making their lives more comfortable. Adventure awaits as you discover uncharted territories.

The ultimate goal is to flourish under the vigilant eyes of friendly neighbours and the mighty Guardians, who stand guard to shield the village from lurking threats.

On Reddit, one enthusiast of the game exclaimed: “I just downloaded Fairy Village and I love it. I played Pocket Love some time ago and it was cute, but not for me, while the fantasy cute setting in Fairy Village is just perfect.”

Another chimed in with equal fervour: “This game is out on iOS and incredibly addicting. I hate most mobile games, but this one has me in a chokehold.”

Hamster Inn

The buzz doesn’t stop there as Hamster Inn is another cosy game that’s become the talk of the town. Picture yourself managing your very own Hamster Inn, caring for the cutest of guests.

Taking on roles from cleaning to catering, it’s all about ensuring top-notch services for both furry friends and their companions.

One avid player took to social media to share: “Hamster Inn is a delightful 2D management game where you oversee an inn run by hamsters, catering to woodland creatures in a cosy setting. This charming game offers a tranquil experience, allowing you to transform the humble inn into a bustling hub of comfort.

“While the game exudes cuteness and simplicity, managing the inn involves a mix of active and passive tasks. Despite some staff inefficiencies, Hamster Inn remains a charming and engaging experience, perfect for those seeking a relaxing yet immersive management adventure in a whimsical world.”

Cats & Soup

Cats & Soup is touted as the ideal game for feline fans. The game showcases a variety of cats, each boasting their unique abilities and traits, which you can position in your forest.

As the proprietor and overseer of this distinctive forest kitchen, players are tasked with aiding a squad of charming and skilled cats in whipping up delectable soups and other dishes. You can commence with simple soups, then expand the enterprise by selling dishes and unveiling new stations.

Even during your absence, your cats persist in their efforts to accumulate gold for you. They strive tirelessly to keep the kitchen bustling.

Whilst the game is free to play, some confessed to opting for in-app purchases as they progressed. One Reddit user admitted: “I pay to play, probably too much, certainly more than I intended to when I first downloaded it.

“Having said that, I don’t regret it. I love the game, and use it to relax. I figure I’d rather spend on this than buy take away coffees as I get more enjoyment out of the game, but that’s not the same for everyone – we all enjoy different things.”

Another player chimed in with: “I’ve always been strictly free to play with mobile games but, with that being said, this game has been so much fun I’m actually going to buy some of the packages. I’m currently debating between getting the delivery mole or the fishing penguin.”
