Prince Harry and Meghan Markle received a lot of backlash after they launched their new website using their Duke and Duchess of Sussex title.
The royal couple made headlines as they replaced their previous website, Archewell.com with Sussex.com.
The new platform is operated by the Office of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, as a “one-stop shop” for all of their activities and features blossoming biographies for Harry and Meghan, as well as the latest news about them, including attendance at events.
Harry is described as a “humanitarian, military veteran, mental health advocate, and environmental campaigner”, whereas Meghan is labelled a “feminist and champion of human rights and gender equity.”
Sussex.com also links to their Archewell Foundation and Archewell Productions, as well as their old website – Sussex Royal – that they launched when they quit their royal duties in 2020 – but were banned from using after leaving the Firm.
However, on the new website, there are three words missing that are quite prominent on Sussex Royal.
The phrase “serving the monarchy” is nowhere to be seen and was a phrase quite frequently mentioned when Harry and Meghan were using their old website.
Back in 2020 when the couple left the Firm, the late Queen Elizabeth banned them from using Sussex Royal due to an agreement with the Palace which stated they could use their Duke Duchess titles but not HRH in their commercial endeavours.
So now whilst the Sussexes have used their royal titles and their crest to promote their new rebranded website, while also referring to their children as Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, they appeared to have removed any mentions to serving the monarchy.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been embroiled in an ongoing feud with the Royal Family ever since they left the Firm and moved to the US.
Since 2020, they’ve made a series of claims against the royals and have been estranged from most members of the Firm.
Sources have claimed Harry wishes to mend his relationship with his family, however critics have dismissed such claims and said it is highly unlikely.
