The world's hottest seaside city where the temperature in winter rarely drops below 31C

Saudi Arabia boasts the world’s hottest seaside city with Jazan on the coast of the Red Sea offering both picturesque views and a stunning coastline – as well as temperatures which rarely drop below 31C all year round.

The region has a tropical climate with hot temperatures and high humidity, which distinguishes it from the typical desert climate found in much of the Middle Eastern Kingdom.

With a population of less than two million people, Jazan is well-known for its natural beauty, with beaches and coastal areas ideal for relaxation and water sports. The nearby Farasan Islands, with their coral reefs and marine life, are also a popular tourist destination in their own right.

The city has historical and cultural sites, as well as traditional souks where visitors can walk the market stalls and hunt for a bargain. For history lovers, the Al-Darb Historical District in Jazan features traditional architecture and ruins.

Jazan’s temperatures are consistently warm throughout the year. Daytime temperatures typically range from 25 to 35 degrees Celsius. The region tends to be hot and humid, especially during the summer months, with high levels of humidity contributing to the sweltering heat.

Situation not far from Jazan, Siranna, an exclusive tourism escape and the latest destination to be announced by the sustainable regional development evolving in northwest Saudi Arabia, has been unveiled by the NEOM Board of Directors.

Located on the Gulf of Aqaba coastline, this extremely luxurious destination will feature a 65-key hotel and 35 exclusive residences. Rising from the rugged coastal terrain, the unique hexagonal pillars stand out yet harmonize with the surrounding mountains and flora.

Accessible only by boat via a secluded bay, guests will pass through stunning rock formations before arriving at the entrance of the mega-resort.
