The wireless keyboard I use every day is less than half price, but only for today

You might not think too much about whether or not your computer keyboard is any good, but if you are in need of an upgrade I can personally recommend a certain accessory. I’ve been using the Logitech MX Keys Mini wireless keyboard most work days for more than three years, and it’s on sale right now in Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days sale.

The keyboard retails for £109.99 if you buy it from Logitech directly, but Amazon is selling it for £47.49 – but the sale ends today, Wednesday October 8, so if you want to upgrade your typing experience, now is the time.

You have to be an Amazon Prime subscriber to access this and any of the Big Deal Days offers. Luckily you might be eligible for a 30-day free trial of Prime.

If you sit all day at a laptop you might be wondering who even needs a keyboard? Well, I can attest that investing in a wireless keyboard will do wonders not only for your typing but probably your posture too.

With a cheap laptop stand that elevates your computer to eye level, a wireless keyboard can hep create a desktop-like set up. You can even go one further and get a monitor to turn your laptop into a secondary screen that powers everything.

The MX Keys Mini is a wonder. I quite like the feel of the keys on the latest MacBooks, but the concave keys on Logitech’s keyboard are better. They are a great middle ground between the shallowness of modern laptop keyboards and the clacky feel of mechanical keyboards, but with a satisfying click to each one that means I can really get my word count up when I get going.

I also prefer this Mini version of the keyboard – a larger one includes a numberpad, but this small model is better to position centrally on a desk or to lug around in a bag.

You can pair it to three devices at once, so I’ve also used it to switch over from my work laptop to my personal iPad to rattle out emails. It can even connect to your smartphone if you really want to get serious with the Notes app.

Logitech has made sure the MX Keys Mini suits you whichever computer you have, so it works with Windows or macOS and even has keys printed that double up for either (option/start and command/alt). The keys are also well backlit and turn on when you hover your hands over the keys, and adjust the level depending on the light source.

You recharge the device via USB-C, but I find I only need to do this a handful of times per year. The design is also slightly raised at the top for a comfortable slant for typing, though note it is not adjustable.

This is a keyboard I don’t intend to replace any time soon as it’s still going strong after three years. At less than half price, it’s a great deal on this last day of the Amazon October sale.
