A little-known beach less than an hour from London is drawing attention for offering something a little different, sun, sea, and no clothes.
TikToker @Shewalksinengland revealed a stunning hidden nudist beach just a short train ride from the capital. In her video, she describes the spot as a “massive beach” where clothing is completely optional, and adventure is definitely part of the journey.
“This walk from London by train takes you to this hidden beach where people go to sunbathe without any clothes on,” she said. “It’s an easy walk below the cliffs and about four miles from the station. That’s eight [miles] out and back, and less than an hour train ride from London.”
To get there, the TikToker recommends jumping on a train from London St Pancras to Folkestone Central, then walking about a mile to the coast.
From there, turn left and continue past the busy main beaches, but the real adventure begins when you ascend a set of steps and pass a large horn.
From there, the path winds through The Warren, a more rugged and overgrown area. After spotting a sign and turning right, you’ll head down toward the sea and begin navigating some large rocks.
“You’ll pass by more beaches, but these still aren’t the one,” she explained. The key landmark is a ladder that takes you down to the sprawling beach.
The beach itself is remote, peaceful, and backed by dramatic chalk cliffs. However, it comes with a few warnings as there are no lifeguards or facilities, and visitors should beware of falling rocks.
With stunning views, an off-the-beaten-path vibe, and an unexpected freedom, it might just be the country’s best-kept (and least-clothed) secret.
