Right here in the UK is where you can find a “heavenly” beach with barely any tourists.
Kynance Cove has been named by Time Out as one of the most beautiful hidden beaches in the UK.
Located on the south coast of Cornwall, two miles north-west of Lizard Point is where you’ll find it.
From London, it takes around six hours to reach this beautiful quiet part of Cornwall but it will be a worthy trip.
When you get close to the area, you’ll have to look for the discreet sign pointing to the cove which many miss!
A visitor on Tripadvisor said: “Went for my birthday and it’s been the best birthday I’ve had, the five and a half hour drive was so worth it the beaches are unexceptionable and just amazing.”
Upon arrival at the beach, you’ll be able to see white sand and cave formations against a cliff backdrop.
When the sun is shining, the blue waters will make you feel like you’ve been transported to another country.
After exploring the beach, you can head to some of the nearby neighbourhoods such as Poldhu Cove or Kennack Sands.
One person who visited the beach on Tripadvisor said: “We were in Cornwall for the week and it was recommended by friends that we visit here and I am so so so pleased we did.
“Kynance Cove is by far one of the most beautiful places I have visited, the walks, the geography, the beaches and the water are absolutely stunning.
“Parking is good value, there are so many walks around the park and the maps which are dotted around clearly explain to you how to reach the beach. There are easy routes and some more difficult routes.”
If you visit when the tide is low, you can explore the caves along the beaches or even opt for rock climbing adventures or rock pooling. But if you prefer more relaxing activities then swimming is a good idea.
However, it’s advisable to do this in pairs and not go far into the sea because there are no lifeguards and the tides can get very strong.
