Everyone’s available for a price – no matter how ridiculous.
Maxx Crosby bolted the team’s facilities in frustration last season after they decided to put him on the shelf in an attempt to tank for the No. 1 overall pick in this year’s draft, which has led to plenty of speculation regarding whether the pass rusher could possibly be traded.
NBC Sports’ Mike Florio reported the Raiders want the same trade package that the Cowboys got for Micah Parsons last year in a hypothetical Crosby trade.

The ask of two first-round picks and a player is an exorbitant cost, especially considering that Parsons was entering his age-26 season when he was traded, while Crosby will be 29 in August.
Multiple reports last year suggested that Crosby walked out of the Raiders building and vowed not to return.
“He told them he’ll retire before he ever plays for them again,” an unnamed general manager previously told Jason La Canfora. “But I’m not sure they’re actually going to trade him. (Browns star) Myles Garrett said the same thing last year, and we know how that ended up.”
Crosby is one of the most dominant pass rushers in the NFL and a perennial candidate for Defensive Player of the Year, finishing fourth in the voting in 2023.
From 2021-24, Crosby graded out in the top four in the NFL among EDGE rushers, according to Pro Football Focus.
Despite the end-of-season acrimony, reports at the NFL Combine suggest that he’s simmered down a bit and the Las Vegas Raiders expect him to play for the team in 2026.
“I do,” Raiders general manager John Spytek said at the NFL Combine when asked whether they expected Crosby to play for the Raiders in 2026, according to The Post’s Ryan Dunleavy. “Yes.”

“Maxx is an elite player, and I’ve been very upfront from the start when I got here that we’re in the business of having really good players on the team,” Spytek said “And we need a lot more of them.”
The Raiders, who fired head coach Pete Carroll and replaced him with Seahawks offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak this offseason, are expected to pick Fernando Mendoza with the No. 1 pick in the draft as they attempt to retool one of the NFL’s worst rosters.
