Scrambled eggs are a favourite for many, and even though they are already healthy, there’s a simple way you can make them even healthier.

The type of egg is a breakfast or brunch snack that is easy to make at home and a nutritious addition to a meal.

But to make your eggs even healthier, you can add some greens into the mix.

Getting greens into your meals might not always seem easy but baby spinach, arugula, kale, or thinly chopped collards make the perfect addition to your eggs.

These greens can be folded into eggs easily, and you’ll barely notice they’re there.

Halfway through cooking your eggs, grab a handful of the greens and mix them in—make sure to stir well so that they are distributed evenly.

When you plate them up, you could serve them with sourdough, avocado, or tomatoes for a healthy, nutritious, and filling meal.

But this isn’t the only way to change your everyday scrambled eggs.

If you’re in the mood for change, you could add some fresh herbs to add flavour.

Some popular choices include chives, dill and parsley, which work well with eggs.

Others might prefer to add some sliced chillies or even drizzle from sriracha sauce over the eggs.

Another common favourite is to add cheese—this pairing is not uncommon but is a popular choice loved by many.

Eggs are versatile and can be made scrambled, poached, fried or boiled.

To make the perfect scrambled eggs, crack as many eggs as necessary into a bowl before seasoning with salt and pepper.

Next, lightly beat with a fork until the yolks and whites are combined.

Then, heat a frying pan over medium heat and melt a teaspoon of butter so that the base and sides are covered.

When the butter starts to foam, pour in the eggs and stir—after three to five minutes, your eggs should be ready.
