The Naked Gun already has fans talking as it stars Liam Neeson as Frank Drebin Jr and Pamela Anderson as Beth, as they share some steamy scenes.
The film serves as a legacy sequel to Naked Gun 33⅓: The Final Insult, which was released in 1994.
The lead role was originally due to go to Ed Helms, but in 2021 there was interest in casting Neeson, who was keen to explore a comedic role. One of Neeson’s overlooked thrillers, which he is renowned for, is streaming now.
Since filming for the upcoming movie, the Baywatch star and Taken actor showcased some off-screen chemistry, with Neeson making some flirty remarks about Anderson.
For a new interview with You Magazine, Neeson confessed one of his favourite moments from filming was “the sex scenes” with Anderson, for which they had an intimacy co-ordinator.
The Naked Gun will be released in cinemas on August 1, with Neeson referring to his co-star’s audition tape as “incredibly sexy” and “funny”.
Anderson said their chemistry was “important”, with both agreeing it came without effort.
They joked about how the intimacy co-ordinator had to “go for coffee” because the scenes were “too hot”.
Both of the stars are currently single, with the dating rumours unconfirmed. Neeson said in a previous interview promoting the film he was “madly in love” with Anderson.
He told People: “With Pamela, first off, I’m madly in love with her. She’s just terrific to work with.
“I can’t compliment her enough, I’ll be honest with you. No huge ego. She just comes in to do the work. She’s funny and so easy to work with. She’s going to be terrific in the film.”
Meanwhile Anderson gushed over her co-star, saying: “He brings out the best in you… with respect, kindness and depth of experience. It was an absolute honor to work with him.”
Fans took to X, formerly Twitter, following the UK premiere of the film, at which Anderson was pictured planting a kiss on Neeson’s cheek.
One said: “They look great together”, while another said: “Ok. Not only are they a stunning couple, but Pam is absolutely beautiful in that glorious outfit.”
Neither of the stars have addressed whether they are dating in real life.
