Prince Louis is celebrating his seventh birthday today with his nearest and dearest. While many royal fans know the young prince’s birthday is April 23, not many fans know he actually shared his birthday with another royal. This is because April 23 is also Lady Gabriella Windsor’s birthday, with the royal turning 44 today.
Despite the fact Lady Gabriella Kingston is a royal, she isn’t perhaps as well known as Prince Louis. This is because Lady Gabriella, the daughter of The Prince and Princess of Kent, is not a senior member of the Royal Family. Although she is King Charles’s cousin, Lady Gabriella is not a full-time working royal, and therefore is in the public eye much less than her royal relatives.
While she does make an appearance at certain royal events, she is able to live a relatively private life the rest of the time.
She is also close to her royal relatives, including her parents and Princess Kate, with Lady Gabriella reportedly playing a role in the planning of the princess’ Christmas Carol Service last year.
Her relationship with her parents is believed to be incredibly strong, with Lady Gabriella having leant on them for support since the death of her husband Thomas Kingston last year, who was found at his parent’s home with a “traumatic wound to the head” and a gun was found near his body. The circumstances were deemed no suspicious with no other person involved.
It is believed Gabriella moved back into her parents’ home on the Kensington Palace grounds after Thomas’ death. It is not known whether the royal still lives there.
Insiders previously told royal expert Richard Eden: “They (Prince and Princess of Kent) wanted Ella to be with them and she didn’t want to be alone in the home she shared with Tom.”
It is not known what the royal is doing today to celebrate her 44th birthday, however she is likely to celebrate the occasion with friends and family.
It is the second birthday she has had since the passing of her husband.
