Harrogate, the elegant spa town in the heart of Yorkshire, is set to sparkle this December as its famed Christmas Fayre returns to the town centre. Running from 5 to 14 December 2025, the ten-day event promises a magical festive experience for visitors, featuring independent traders, artisan gifts, and seasonal treats.
This year, visitors can explore up to 40 beautifully decorated chalets, each offering a delightful mix of local artisan goods and traditional European Christmas treasures. Shoppers can discover handcrafted jewellery, festive decorations, homewares, and gourmet foods, making it easy to find unique gifts or simply indulge in a seasonal treat.
The pedestrianised Cambridge Street and Market Place form the heart of the Christmas Fayre, and the Harrogate Christmas lights will be switched on, adding a warm glow to the town’s historic streets.
Families are welcomed with open arms, and dogs are also allowed at the market, though quieter weekday mornings are recommended for pets that may be overwhelmed by crowds or festive music.
Harrogate itself has long been celebrated as a destination for discerning shoppers. Its main shopping streets, set around open green spaces like the 200-acre Stray, are home to numerous boutiques, jewellers, bookshops, bakeries, chocolatiers, and a department store.
