The results show that while Edinburgh and Glasgow top the list for budget-conscious lovers, the lively city of Liverpool is hot on their heels.
Despite financial constraints, a whopping 65% of Brits are set to mark Valentine’s Day by doing something special this year.
To make love a little less costly, the experts created an index considering factors like affordable hotels, bars, restaurants, spa days and romantic activities, with Liverpool scoring a solid 56.60 on the index

With its vibrant culture and historical allure, Liverpool is perfect for couples on a budget, beingh home to second-highest number of budget-friendly 4-star+ hotels, with 603 options offering luxury for less.
With a buzzing social scene, the city also has the highest number of affordable pubs and bars, with 22 establishments ready to welcome you for a relaxing drink together. Rich in musical heritage and stunning architecture, Liverpool proves that romance doesn’t have to break the bank, reports the Mirror.
