How well do you know your video games? You’ll need a comprehensive knowledge spanning several decades to conquer this devilishly hard quiz set by The Chase star Darragh Ennis.
Darragh is best known for his role on the ITV quiz show as one of the Chasers, dubbed The Menace. But when he’s not busy trying to outsmart contestants and prevent them from bagging their prize money, he often posts his own quizzes on social media.
These challenging puzzles usually follow a theme, and his latest one delves into the world of gaming – ideal if you’re looking to brush up before a pub quiz.
The quiz consists of 10 questions covering multiple eras of gaming, so merely knowing about contemporary gaming or games you played three decades ago won’t cut it.
According to Darragh, most people won’t manage to answer all 10 correctly – even if you’re a veteran gamer with plenty of experience. In fact, there’s even a question that could dock points if answered incorrectly.

The deduction question appeared first, with Darragh announcing that participants should subtract five points if they incorrectly identified the character as Zelda.
Viewers responding to the video admitted they’d performed reasonably well, though several tricky questions had cost them a flawless result.
One participant commented: “9/10. I’ve been gaming since 1982/83 so have a pretty solid bank of knowledge behind me. Never played Speedball 2 though.”
Another contributor remarked: “8/10. I was never a Street Fighter fan and never heard of Speedball 2. Fun quiz! Happy for Monkey Island to get a mention, one of my favourite series of games in the genre.”
