While many of us are accustomed to watching Darragh Ennis attempting to outwit participants on The Chase, he’s equally renowned for devising his own devilishly challenging puzzles for his online audience to tackle.
The neuroscientist, who goes by The Menace on the ITV programme, secured his position as a Chaser in 2020 following his victory as a contestant in 2017, making him the only one of the six chasers to have been a contestant on the same show.
However, when he’s not preventing people from claiming substantial monetary rewards on The Chase, Darragh frequently shares his own quizzes on TikTok to baffle his followers.
These five-question brainteasers are famously challenging and are often centred around a particular subject, such as a specific film or sport. In a recent clip, Darragh dared his supporters to tackle some “impossible” questions regarding the advertising industry.
We encounter numerous advertisements daily, but how closely do you genuinely observe them? Test your expertise with The Menace’s challenge.
In his footage, he declared: “Can you beat a quiz by The Menace? This time it’s on advertising slogans. I bet you can’t get all five. They start easy, but they’ll get tougher.”

Answers
- Bran Flakes
- Audi
- Salman Rushdie
- Wheeties
- Volkswagen Beetle
Whilst providing the solutions, Darragh revealed he takes issue with the Bran Flakes marketing slogan as he reckons they’re not “very tasty” whatsoever. He also mentioned that the Audi slogan we’re most familiar with hearing is actually the German version, “Vorsprung durch Technik”.
Viewers responding to the clip were eager to share their performance scores. Some boasted about getting nearly every answer right, whilst others confessed they found it extremely challenging.
One viewer commented: “4/5, I didn’t get the American cereal question.”
Another wrote: “Me thinking I watch all the adverts and was about to show my prowess and only getting 1.”
A third observed: “You weren’t kidding! Got the first two, then things went south rapidly!”
