Action films have entertained audiences for decades. They often have everything from thrilling stunts to unforgettable characters. But every now and then, one comes along that truly blows people’s minds.
One such film is Fight Club, a 1999 movie that some fans call “the best action film ever made”. Starring a young Brad Pitt alongside Edward Norton and Helena Bonham Carter, the movie is now available to watch on ITV. The film follows an unnamed narrator (played by Norton) who is fed up with his office job and empty lifestyle.
After meeting a soap salesman named Tyler Durden (Pitt), the two start an underground fight club that changes everything.
The movie didn’t do well at the box office when it was first released, and it split critics.
But over time, it gained a huge following. On its tenth anniversary in 2009, The New York Times called it “the defining cult movie of our time”.
Today, the film holds an 81% critic score and an impressive 96% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes, with fans continuing to praise it as one of the best and most original movies of all time.
