Meghan Markle has released two episodes of her new podcast so far. The 43-year-old has been joined by two very special guests – Whitney Wolfe Herd – the founder of the popular dating app Bumble – in the first episode and Reshma Saujani – the founder of nonprofits Girls Who Code and Moms First – in the second episode.
Meghan has seemingly chosen people who are not very well-known, with one PR expert sharing that by opting for celebrity guests, she could “take the podcast to the next level”.
Speaking to the Express, PR expert Rhea Freeman has suggested three celebrity guests that Meghan could have on any future episodes of Confessions of a Female Founder.
For the first guest, she said: “Thinking of amazing guests, for me Oprah [Winfrey] would be incredible – a smart business woman who’s achieved so much.” The 71-year-old, who interviewed the Duke and Duchess of Sussex back in 2021, is known to be close to the royal couple.
She also suggested a well-known American singer-songwriter, adding: “Rihanna – I’d love to hear all about her Fenty Beauty journey (and that Super Bowl product placement!).”
Lastly, although not a specific one, she added “…maybe someone from the Kardashian/Jenner family?”
Further explaining her choices, she added: “All of these people are known for many things, but they’re businesswomen who have created a brand/multiple brands and done incredibly well from it.
“Guests like these would practically guarantee great press coverage on a global scale, and if they got behind the podcast too and promoted it, it would be huge.”
In her podcast, Meghan has opened up on a number of personal experiences – including her heart-breaking experience when she suffered a miscarriage, being a mum and how she juggles work and home life.
The idea of Meghan’s podcast is to gain “insights from a handful of amazing women who have scaled small ideas into successful companies”, with the mum-of-two also using the platform to discuss her own experiences.
